Jacqueline Kirya
Hi! I’m Jacqueline. I am a website designer and career changer. I worked in the finance and accounting sector for over 15 years but decided to make a change after some self-reflection. Now I help psychotherapists enhance their online presence so they can reach and connect with potential clients who may need help dealing with mental health issues or navigating the stresses of life.
I am passionate about using innovative website design to create engaging and client-focused websites, for psychotherapists, that communicate their professionalism, unique therapeutic approach and commitment to helping others, enabling them to connect with individuals seeking their support.
Are you a psychotherapist looking to enhance your online presence? I’d love to connect with you!
Design Approach
My goal is to help psychotherapists and counsellors by creating professional and personalized websites that showcase their expertise and communicate their unique therapeutic approach, enabling them to foster trust and connect with individuals seeking mental health support.
Here are answers to questions regarding how I work and if I'm the right fit for you.
What is your website design process?
My design process is centred around collaboration and allows you to be part of the design journey. The phases involved are outlined below.
1. Website Discovery Meeting
After your initial enquiry, I will set up a virtual meeting to discuss what you need and how I can help you. Our open conversation will help me scope your project and provide you with an understanding of what is involved in the design process.
2. Website Strategy
This involves defining the project scope, deciding what content will be included on the website, and how it will be organized and structured. You will be required at this stage to start putting together website content.
3. Design
During this phase, I will initially create wireframes, which are blueprints of the website's layout and structure. Following approval of the wireframes, I will move onto identifying a design style to be used throughout the website. Once a design style is approved, the final step will be crafting your website using the Wix platform.
4. Launch
Your website will be launched once it has been approved and testing has been done to ensure it performs smoothly.
Completion time for a website design project is dependent on its size and complexity, client response timeliness, and my current booking schedule.

What are the benefits of hiring a professional website designer?
A DIY website can be a cost-effective solution and there are a number of online website building platforms that allow you to build your own website. But there’s just one problem— a website is only as good as the person who designs it.
To achieve a professional and user-friendly website that enhances your online presence, the design should be:
Customized to match your brand identity, setting your website apart from generic templates used in DIY websites.
Optimised to deliver a good user experience, leading to higher visitor engagement.
Mobile responsive - ensuring your website looks and functions well on various devices, reaching a wider audience.
Optimised for your website to be search engine-friendly, improving its visibility and organic traffic.
You need the requisite skills to design an engaging and user-friendly website and this is a key reason to hire a professional website designer. I am consistently upgrading my design skills and expanding my knowledge so that when clients hire me to design a website, they get an innovative website that engages their target audience.
Let me help you design your website, while you focus on doing what you do best – helping your clients improve their mental well-being.
Why invest in website design?
Here are some reasons for commissioning the design of a website for your practice:
Professional Online Presence: A well-designed website can help you establish professionalism and credibility, and allows you to reach potential clients who search for services online.
Sharing Information:A website enables you to provide detailed information about your therapeutic approach, specialisation, qualifications, and services offered.
Client Engagement: A well-designed website can engage potential clients by providing educational content that provides additional value to them. It creates an opportunity to showcase your expertise, fostering trust and interest in your services.
Branding and Differentiation: A website offers an opportunity for you to establish your unique brand identity, helping you distinguish your practice from competitors.
Appointment Booking: A website can include features that allow potential clients to book appointments or check availability, thereby streamlining the intake process and improving accessibility for individuals seeking therapy.
Why websites for psychotherapists?
Today, more and more people are in need of support to help them deal with mental health issues or navigate the stresses of life. Accessible, quality mental health services are therefore key, and having a strong online presence is crucial to facilitating easier access to mental health services.
Helping psychotherapists reach and connect with people in need of support in turn fulfils my desire to help others.
What website building platform do you design websites on?
I design websites on the Wix platform. Websites designed on this platform are responsive, SEO-friendly, fast performing and secure.
